What is Soulful Samba Therapy
It is a fun and safe way to build up self-esteem and reconnect with the joy of living through Latin music and dance movements. Each session is planned to work on different parts of the body in order to practice the 5 “Bs”: (1)Breath, (2)Bounce, (3)Balance, (4)Boundary and (5)Bliss. It is divided into three sections: warm-up, samba practice and relaxation.
It was designed by me (Salene Souza) in 2011 to give support to women who were recovering from alcohol and drug abuse. Now Soulful Samba Therapy is available to every women (or anyone who feel the calling) who are open and curious to explore their internal resources through Latin dance and music.
